The Southern Boone County Library in Ashland will have a program called Buggy Cartooning on Tuesday August 12th from 7-8 pm. This program is part of the Summer Reading 2008 programming at the library. (This program was also offered at the Columbia Public Library on July 9th.) Here’s the press release from the library calendar:
Try your hand at drawing some funny bugs and crazy creepy crawlies. “Uncle” James Mouser from KOMU-TV’s “Pepper & Friends” will teach you some simple cartooning steps. Ages 8 and older, but teens and adults are welcome.
If you can’t make the program, check out a KOMU video of Mouser drawing an bug from the kids corner segment of the June 5th Pepper and Friends show. In case you don’t know, James Mouser is the creator of the weekly comic strip Fayette-cetera that appears in the Democrat-Leader in neighboring Fayette Missouri.
