Children’s Literature Festival 2009
If your comic tastes tend to skew towards the children’s side of things, then you might want to check out this annual event in Warrensburg Missouri. The 41st Children’s Literature Festival is happening March 15-17th at the University of Central Missouri. While the festival seems mostly for kids, you can also register as an adult and get to see various professional authors and illustrators. Some illustrators are exhibiting their work at the library and giving talks there as well. Check the website for more details.
Speaking of children’s books, you might want to check out the work of local author/illustrator Deborah Zemke. She happens to have three books coming out this month! Check them out: More Pocket Poems, How to Win Friends and Influence Creatures, & Wishes for You.
