UMKC student wins Schulz award
University of Missouri-Kansas City student Grant Snider has won the 2008 Charles M. Schulz College Cartoonist of the Year award. Snider, a second-year student in the UMKC School of Dentistry, will receive $10,000 and attend an awards ceremony April 24 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. The award comes from his work for the UMKC student newspaper, University News. In addition to his work for the student paper, Snider has a blog, runs strips in the sketch section of The Pitch, and has made some mini-comics too.
