Mid-Missouri Comics Collective
The Midmococo is a group of comic creators and enthusiasts based in Columbia, Mo. Established in May 2005, we are primarily made up of comic creators, although we also welcome readers and enthusiasts. The organizational structure is loose and nebulous … We don’t have “official” members, or dues, but there are a few people who oversee the group. If you’re interested, feel free to interact with us in any way you see fit, or contact us.

Monthly meetings
We have a monthly meeting on the first Sunday of the month, 2pm at Mort’s Grill in the MU Student Center. Our back-up location is the MU Student Center Lobby. Parking is available in the Virginia Ave. Parking Garage.
Usually there is no specific agenda to the meetings. People can talk about their latest comic purchases, show off new work they’ve done, create comic jams, look for feedback, trade art tips, work on comic pages, etc. Please note: No one is assigned specifically to show up and lead these gatherings, so attendance may vary.
General guidelines for our blog
We cover local comic related things like: Art shows, classes, newspaper stories, interviews, comic jams, speakers, local deals, completed stories or issues, etc.
Focus is primarily local news and creators within a one-hour radius of Columbia, though we may throw in something interesting or unique from other places in Missouri now and then.
